Active Minds Events
Along with various other initiatives,
National Depression Screening Day is a major outreach event coordinated by the Department of Psychological Services at University Health Services. In collaboration with the other counseling centers on the Kent State Campus. Psychological Services has been able to conduct mental health screening for our students and provide the appropriate services needed. Active Minds is proud to be a part of this initiative serving the KSU campus community.
National Alcohol Screening Day (NASD)is a free public health event that provides anonymous screening for alcohol-use disorders and offers educational materials about alcohol and health-related issues. NASD is an outreach promotional effort to reduce and prevent at-risk drinking. The event is open to campus and community members.

PostSecret is an on-going community art project and blog, created and maintained by Frank Warren, where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard. The content of the secret range from serious to hilarious and touch on a number of issues including relationships (family and friends), sexuality, fears, hopes/dreams and general mental health. Please return your PostSecret postcard by placing it in a secure box between October 6th and November 2 , 2010.
