Transfer Students

  • Check out our Transfer Credit Guide or Transferology to see how your classes transfer to KSU.  
  • Visit and get program Roadmaps for KSU majors, minors and certificates.
  • Be sure to submit official test scores or transcripts if you will be receiving AP, CLEP, CBE or Military credit.  Information can be found in the FAQs.
  • Be sure to submit all official transcripts from all previously attended post-secondary institutions to the Admissions Office at the campus to which you are applying.  See below for campus contact information.

Once You Have Been Admitted to Kent State:

  • Be sure to set up your Flashline account at Call 330 672-HELP for assistance.  When the Transfer Center has completed your evaluation, you will receive an email in your mailbox.  
  • Once your evaluation is completed, make an academic advising appointment in your college office at If you have courses you would like re-evaluated, please supply your academic advisor with a course syllabus and/or catalog course description from your previous institution. Be sure to bring your GPS audit and Roadmap, and write down any questions you want to be sure to discuss.
  • If your initial evaluation indicates that you have 30 credit hours or less, you will be required to attend the Transfer Kent State Orientation, Advising and Registration program. Required attendees will receive an invitation to register.
  • After you have received your transfer credit evaluation and/or you have met with an academic advisor, register for classes via
