I am pleased to welcome you to the Regional College. In some ways it is unique as the College is the academic home for programs that are only offered at one of the KSU regional campuses. Kent State University recognizes that the regional campuses must be able to respond quickly to the ever changing needs of the local region these campuses serve. Often this requires programs and degrees to be offered only at a regional campus. As a result the Regional College was created in 2010 as the administrative home for programs unique to the university's regional campuses.
Each regional campus is offering degrees targeted to the needs of its local communities. Some programs are offered at all of the regional campuses while others are offered at only one of the regional campuses. All campuses offer certificates, associate degree, and bachelor degrees.
The opportunities available to the regional campus student characterized by excellence. We are proud of our campus facilities that provide a welcoming learning environment and access to state-of-the-art technology. The regional campus faculty are highly respected and take pride in their concern for their students. They are truly involved in each student's pursuit of knowledge and education.
The course requirements within each degree are aligned to the knowledge and skills needed to be competitive and successful in the 21st century job market. Local employers play an active role in defining the learning outcomes of our graduates.
We hope you will take some time to learn more about our programs and visit the regional campus offering your areas of interest. Classes are small and available to meet your needs whether you are a full-time student or a part-time student who works and has family responsibilities. You will find classes are offered days, evenings, distance learning, and blended.
Everyone at the Regional College looks forward to assisting you in your pursuit of graduating with a certificate or college degree. In the 21st century the need for a college education is essential.
