Study Abroad

Public Health graduate students and undergraduates are highly encouraged to study abroad to help connect their academic preparation and to gain exposure to other cultures and areas of the world. 

In fact, students pursuing a concentration Global Health are required to study abroad as part of their degree requirements.

A Semester Away

Kent State University has residence halls in Geneva, Switzerland and Florence, Italy and many global partnerships including India, Turkey and beyond. As long as there is access to the Internet, Public Health students can study anywhere in the world and stay on track with their degree, as many Public Health courses are online. Public Health students are encouraged to study in Geneva, Switzerland due to several opportunities with the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations and other non-governmental organizations. Internships are available for Geneva students in organizations such as the Red Cross, World Council of Churches and the World Health Organization.
