Recent milestones in her career include two recordings with The Cleveland Orchestra: Janacek's Capriccio for Piano (Left Hand) and Wind Instruments conducted by Christoph von Dohnányi and Messiaen's La Ville d'En-Haut conducted by Pierre Boulez. Joela is married to Richard Weiss, the Orchestra's first assistant principal cellist. Since 1992, Joela and Richard have performed as the Cleveland Orchestra Piano Trio with associate concertmaster Sheryl Staples. Both are also members of the Kent/Blossom Music faculty where Ms. Jones was a scholarship student in 1968 and 1969.
