Kip lives in Dallas with his wife, Suzi, and their family.Kip and Suze started the non-profit New Hope Foundation in 2007. The foundation grew out of a high school project started by Kip’s son. The foundation strives to improve the livs of underprivileged families living in North Texas through a variety of programs offered at the Empowerment Center which was completed in 2010. All proceeds from Kip’s new book, Battling Goliath: Inside a $22 Billion Legal Scandal benefit the foundation.
Widely considered one of the foremost litigation experts in the nation on the diet drug “Fen-phen,” Kip won the first case ever tried to a jury verdict, an historic award that ultimately led to a nationwide settlement. The attention he received from this verdict landed Kip appearances on CNN, Good Morning America, 60 Minutes, Burden of Proof, Frontline and interviews in numerous magazines and national newspapers. Battling Goliath is based on his experiences with this litigation.
