On Thursday, June 9th, Dr. Melanie Sanford will be visiting from the University of Michigan. Sanford, an Arthur S. Thurnau Professor, will present a seminar: "Synthetic and Mechanistic Investigations of Pd-Catalyzed C-H Functionalization Reactions." Faculty and students are invited to this event, co-sponsored by the Akron section of the American Chemical Society and the Kent State University Dpeartment of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
A reception will be held at 5:30pm in the Williams Hall lobby. At 6pm, Dr. Sanford's lecture will begin in room 111 Williams Hall. Dinner will then be held at 7pm in room 312 of the Kent Student Center. Reservations are required for the dinner.
