Investing in University Changes: A Conversation with Dr. Charlie NuttPosted Nov, 24, 2009
Join KASADA, Kent State's NACADA-affiliated organization for professional and faculty advisors and student support personnel, as they welcome Dr. Charlie Nutt, NACADA executive director, for a workshop on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Room 204.
Nutt has more than 30 years of experience in education and has worked primarily in the areas of student support and student success with particular focus on academic advising and student retention programs. He plays a consultative role to universities throughout the nation and the world.
Nutt will be sharing his thoughts about institutional changes which can be stressful at all levels of a university. Kent State has had its share of change in the past several years. The workshop will provide a lively format for discussion about change, reflection, and brainstorming of tools for advisors, student affairs professionals and all interested faculty and staff to use, manage and embrace change. Nutt will share experiences and outcomes from other institutions that have undergone institutional changes. He will speak directly to the changes that Kent State has experienced and how the advising and student affairs communities can both benefit from and be a part of the change process.
Cost for the event is $15 and includes annual membership in KASADA. The event is FREE to current KASADA members.
