Kent State Reports 9 Percent Increase in Summer Enrollment

Kent State University at Salem, Ashtabula and Trumbull report huge jumps

Kent State University announced today that enrollment for summer 2010 is up 9.26 percent across its eight-campus system. The university reports 13,575 students were enrolled in its two summer sessions, compared to 12,424 for summer 2009, for a net increase of 1,151 students.

The largest percentage increase was at Kent State University at Salem, which saw a remarkable 39.49 percent jump in enrollment. Kent State Salem reported 597 students enrolled for summer 2010, compared to 428 in the previous year. Kent State University at Ashtabula and Kent State University at Trumbull also measured significant increases, of 29.11 percent and 26.21 percent respectively. Summer enrollment at Kent State University in Kent is measured at 8,090 students, an increase of 4.64 percent.

Lefton. “Coming on the heels of our record-setting fall and spring enrollment numbers, this is further evidence that a Kent State education is an extremely valuable asset.
