Portage County Local Health Departments to Hold H1N1 Vaccine Clinic on Nov. 14 for Priority GroupPosted Nov, 9, 2009
The Portage County Local Health Departments will hold a H1N1 flu vaccine clinic on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the priority group, which are people who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Pregnant women
- Ages 6 months to 24 years old
- Ages 64 and younger with chronic health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, and/or other chronic health conditions that compromise the immune system
- Health care and emergency medical services personnel who provide direct patient care
- Caregivers and household contacts of babies less than 6 months old.
The priority group clinic will occur at the Elks Lodge of Ravenna, located at 776 North Freedom Street in Ravenna. The cost of the H1N1 vaccine is free.
