Young Entrepreneur and Author, Benedict Casnocha, to Speak at Kent State University (04/09/2009)

Entrepreneur, speaker, optimist, CEO, salesman, investor, dreamer, blogger, philosopher, strategist, writer, road warrior, student and teen; put together, these words only begin to describe Benedict Casnocha. Author of the bestselling book “My Start-Up Life: What a (Very) Young CEO Learned on His Journey Through Silicon Valley,” Casnocha will speak at Kent State’s Kent Campus on April 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kiva. At 20 years old, Casnocha is the founder of Comcate Inc., an e-government software company. He began his career at the age of 12 when he started his first company. By the time he was 14, Casnocha’s Comcate was operating and providing services. While in high school, Casnocha played basketball and edited the University High School newspaper. Upon graduation from high school Casnocha travelled to more than 20 countries exploring the world. During 2007, he worked for the Boulder-based team of Mobius VC and helped market the launch of a start-up boot camp.
