11/14/2014: ALT Visits the IAL

Scott Bass, founder and president of Advanced Language Translation (ALT), is going to come and speak with IAL students this Friday, November 14, in 112A SFH from 3 to 5 pm.

ALT is an ISO 9000-certified Language Service Provider (LSP) in Rochester, NY, specializing in technical translation and localization for major corporations. This is a unique chance to meet, talk, and network with a CEO who has been in the trenches of professional translation for over 20 years. He is a good source of information/feedback for questions about trends in the industry, what LSPs seek in prospective subcontractors (freelancers) or employees, etc.
