Our TECH Team
The Tech Spot TECHnicians include full-time staff and students, ready to assist you with your personal computing needs. They are given exceptional training and many of them stay with us through graduation.
Student TECHnicians from The Tech Spot have earned full-time jobs and internships at many top companies and organizations, including Apple Inc., The J. M. Smucker Company, Newell Rubbermaid, Case Western Reserve University, The Walt Disney Company, Progressive Insurance, Hyland Software, and right here at Kent State University.

Kevin is a 4th year Computer Information Systems major. He plans on finding a job in Information Systems / Information Technology upon graduation. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2011.

Joe is a 4th year Economics and Computer Information Systems dual-major. After graduation, he plans to pursue a master's degree. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2011.

Kristoff is a Digital Sciences major. After school, he plans on working as a computer systems administrator for a large company.

Connor is an Architecture major and hopes to join a private residence design firm upon graduation.

Josh is a senior Computer Information Systems major, minoring in Criminology and Justice Studies. He wants to go into cyber crimes when he's finished when school. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2012.

Jim is a Computer Information Systems major. After graduation, he'd like to get a position in network management or network security.

Chance is an Integrated Social Studies major. After graduation he'd like to work on his masters while teaching working to become a professor. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2012.

Sam is a Computer Science major. He plans to commission into the USAF as an Air Liaison Officer.

Michael is a Computer Information Systems major with a minor in Healthcare Systems Management. He hopes to land a position as a Network and Computer Systems Administrator.

Ashley is a Computer Science major. She wants to create software for musicians and work with audio/sound after graduation.

MIKE CARSON, Lead IT User Support Analyst
Mike received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Kent State University in Computer Technology with a Networking concentration. He's worked full time for The Tech Spot since 2008, overseeing operations and managing warranty computer repair and processing.
