Get your courses ready for Spring 2015!

Your Spring 2015 courses (ending in 201510) should already be set up for you in Blackboard automatically. If you do not see your course(s) in Blackboard, please do the following:

  1. Sync your account in Flashline (Faculty & Advisor Tools tab) . For detailed instructions view this document, please click HERE.

  2. Contact your Department Scheduler ASAP and have them set the course in Banner for Blackboard Learn.

  3. Please make sure you are assigned to teach the course in Banner by checking the
Official Schedule of Classes.

If you still cannot view your course(s) in Bb Learn, submit a ticket at with course details (Course Name, Course Number, CRN).

*   Combine Multiple Course Sections
Submit Online Request Form to combine courses.
You will receive and email from us once the request has been completed. Please wait for course combine to be completed before you copy content.

*   Reuse (Copy) Course Content
You can reuse or copy content from your courses you already developed in Blackboard. For combined courses, please request your course combine first and wait for us to process your request before you copy your content. Once your courses are combined, content can be added to the combined course by following these Detailed Instructions.

     Reminder: If you used Adaptive Release to set up date availability for your content, please remember to update the dates for all your content, tests and assignments for the Spring 2015 course after you have copied the course.

*   Check Your Student Roster
Please make sure your roster is updated go to Users and Groups (under Control Panel) and clicking Users in your Blackboard course.
If your roster in Learn does not match your official roster in FlashLine please submit a ticket at

*   Need to Save Content and Student Data from a Bb Learn Course
To save student and content from a course, please follow the steps in the End Of Semester CheckList

*   Add Users to your Course
Please follow these Instructions to add other users (GA/TA/Colleagues) to your course with their valid KSU FlashLine user id.
NOTE: For security purposes, please do not share your FlashLine password with your GA/TA or colleagues.

*   Make your Course Unavailable / Available to students
Set up your start and end dates for your Blackboard Learn course by following these Instructions.

*   View your Course from a Student's View
Use the Student View Tool to view your course from a student's perspective.

*   How to Manage your Course List
You can choose to show/hide courses in your course list to make it more manageable by following these Instructions.

Scheduled Maintenance Window for Blackboard

Please note that Blackboard scheduled maintenance windows are
Sunday's 5:00am - 7:00am
Blackboard system may be down during that time for regular maintenance. 
Please plan your class activities accordingly.
We will also post announcements in Blackboard in advance, as well.
