Know the Symptoms
Symptoms of the flu can include a high fever (102-104 degrees), chest discomfort/cough, body aches, headache and/or exhaustion. Often the symptoms start suddenly and people can pinpoint exactly when their symptoms started (i.e., "I was fine at 10, but by 10:30 I was really sick"). A stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat and other symptoms of the common cold are usually not prominent.

Flu Clinics for Faculty and Staff
University Health Services, in collaboration with the University's OneWellU Wellness Program, offers a series of flu shot clinics at all campuses each year. These clinics are open to faculty and staff (and their dependents age 6 and over).
For employees and their dependents covered by one of Kent State's medical providers, Anthem or Medical Mutual, the cost of the flu shot is covered in full. You must bring your insurance ID card with you. For all others, the cost is $20, payable by cash or check. Make sure to bring the appropriate forms (Flu Shot and Consent Form) with you to your scheduled appointment. Click on the link below to register for the flu clinic.
