The University of Leicester, with over 8,000 full-time students, is situated almost exactly in the center of England, approximately 100 miles north of London (only 75 minutes away by train!). While at Leicester, students can take classes in a variety of disciplines, such as communications, humanities, social sciences, math, computer science, and basic sciences. Kent students can study at Leicester for either fall or spring semester or all year. Each semester a student can expect to earn approximately 15 semester hours of transfer credits.
Students may choose to participate in university-led trips or travel on their own. Planned fall semester trips include travel to London, Bath, Lincoln, Stratford, and Cambridge, Spring semester trips include a two-day tour of London and a six-day excursion to Rome, Italy.
While studying at Leicester, students live in either self-catered housing (which look like our residence halls) or in halls of residence where evening meals are provided. With either living arrangement, Kent students will have the opportunity to meet and interact with students from England and other countries.
