Graduate Student Orientation (General)Posted Jul. 20, 2011
The Kent State graduate community warmly welcomes you. To help make your transition to graduate student life at KSU successful, the Division of Graduate Studies hosts an orientation program designed to supplement department or program-level orientations.
Kent State University’s Graduate Student Orientation (GSO) is held prior to the start of fall and spring semesters and all new graduate students are encouraged to attend. The Fall 2011 GSO is August 23rd (general program) and August 24th (program for teaching assistants). If you are a new, incoming teaching assistant, it is mandatory to attend both days of GSO. The second day is also open to returning graduate students with new teaching assistantships or those interested in teaching, as the program (on the 24th) will be tailored as such.
Through informational sessions, small group discussions, and a social event, GSO provides an opportunity to meet and network with other new graduate students as well as learn about university resources and the Kent community.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
