Christopher McCracken is a doctoral student in the LRSP program, and he is Graduate Assistant Director of the Writing Internship Program (Fall 2013-Spring 2015). His work attends to questions of how activity is organized around, with, and through writing. He is currently studying how this happens in the context of a biology laboratory. Science is messy, unstable work, but it sure cleans up nice. Chris investigates the rhetorical strategies and generic labor through which science is cleaned up, stabilized, and made presentable for various audiences.
