NewsNite Premieres on Western Reserve PBS as NewsNight Akron Replacement
The new replacement program for NewsNight Akron premiered on Western Reserve PBS (WNEO.1/WEAO.1) on Friday, Oct. 8. The weekly show, called NewsNite, features segments that spotlight news from multiple areas of the station's viewing area. Western Reserve Public Media will produce the new show in the state-of-the-art video studio at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, with assistance from TeleProductions, as well as faculty and students in the school.read more
Employees and Dependents Can Get Flu Shots Nov. 2 and 3Posted Oct. 4, 2010
Flu shots will be available, free of charge, to Kent State employees and their eligible dependents (age six and older) at two flu shot clinics to be held Nov. 2 and 3. The clinics will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day, in the lower level lounge in Eastway.
A flu shot clinic will also be held at Kent State University at Salem on Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Nursing Lab.
Registration is required for the flu shots; sign up is available online. If you are enrolled in one of the university-sponsored group health plans through Medical Mutual or Anthem, the cost of the flu shot is fully covered by the plan. If you are not covered by one of the university's group health plans, the cost is $20, payable by cash or check.
