Laura Leff, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Kent State University since 1994, recently received an Outstanding Research and Scholar Award for her work in microbial ecology of aquatic ecosystems with emphasis on bacterial ecology of streams and the responses of microorganisms to their environment.read more

Stress will be the topic for this month’s wellness Lunch and Learn seminar. Controlling Stress Before it Controls You will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 12:30 p.m. in the first floor Food Lab in Nixson Hall (please note this is a different location than previous sessions).
The programs are sponsored by the Division of Human Resources and are held in conjunction with Impact, which is the university’s employee assistance program. The hour-long programs are free and open to faculty and staff. However, seating is limited and reservations are required. You can register here.
