The Family Child Learning Center is the demonstration, research, and teaching/training center focused on issues related to the support and education of young children with disabilities at Akron Children's Hospital. The Early Intervention Team Leader-SLP is part of a transdisciplinary team providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. The person in this position is responsible for providing relationship-focused, parent-mediated early intervention in the center, in the home and via telehealth. Mater's degree and licensure in speech pathology, as well as training and experience in working with young children with disabilities (particularly autism spectrum disorder) and their families.
