Exercise Leadership for the Older Adult (Senior Exercise)

Exercise leadership for the older adult (aka. senior ex) is an exercise program / practicum in which students create and participate in an adult fitness program. The exercise class meets every semester from 11 - 12 Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. The class offers group cardio and resistance routines and one on one training which is led and supervised by graduate and masters level students studying in the exercise physiology program at Kent State. 

 

Faculty Staff Wellness

Faculty Staff Wellness is a health and wellness program open to all actively employed Kent State University faculty and staff members. The program began in summer 2013 as a collaborative effort between the exercise physiology, psychology, and human resources departments.The class meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6am - 7am and from 12pm - 1pm in the exercise physiology department located in the MACC Annex. The class is designed for individuals of all fitness levels and offers a wide variety options such as group exercise routines, resistance training, zumba cardio classes, and one on one training with the faculty members and graduate assistants of the exercise physiology department. The class occupancy is approximately 100 faculty and staff members per semester and enrollment is based on a first-come first-serve basis.
