Teacher Performance Assessment
Welcome to the Teacher Performance Assessment resource page for teacher education faculty at Kent State University.
Like student teaching evaluations, the TPA assesses the teaching of real kids in real classrooms. Unlike student teaching evaluations, the TPA’s scorer training and moderation procedures will ensure a high degree of comparability of judgments across faculty, supervisors, and institutions. The scores across the different dimensions of teaching produce a profile of teaching practice to help novices identify relative strengths and weaknesses to guide improvement.
If you have any questions about TPA, please contact KSU’s TPA coordinator, Lori Wilfong email@example.com
Additional information about TPA and access to Field Test Handbooks can be found here. This website requires membership. Faculty wishing to join can contact Hilda Pettit firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for an invitation to join tpaconline.
Access to the FINAL Field Test Handbooks is only available to faculty in ADED and MCED Stark who are part of the official field test at KSU.
Scorers are needed. To find information and application to be a scorer go here
