Past Travel

Travel2Know has in the past sponsored such well organized trips that leads everyone back to us.

While at the Top of the World - Bhutan, we adjusted to the high altitudes of the tallest mountains before embarking to Bhutan - The land of monks and monasteries, a peaceful place for contemplation.  Martha Johnson and family traveled with us in honor of Maurice Johnson - a long time traveler who has traveled with us for the past 30 years.

Summer 2011

Have you ever thought about the number of great novels inspired by the South Pacific, Melville’s trilogy Typee, Omoo, and Mardi as well as Moby Dick; Stevenson’s In the South Seas; Somereset Maugham’s Moon and Sixpence, Jack London’s The Cruise of the Snark, and Thor Heyerdahl, Kon Tiki, to name a few?   Some of our friends, TRAVEL2KNOW and KSU’s Dr. Sandy Marovitz shared wonderful pictures to the Marguesas, Tahiti and other island in French Polynesia.

"A Glorious Adventure" - The Gerald Read Center spent some time in India during January of 2009. During this time, the group was able to experience a real feeble and flavor of India by participating in enriching, cultural experiences that not any tourist can experience. The group went on elephant rides in Jaipur as well as participating in evening entertainment; went to the Taj Mahal and relaxed on houseboat while they cruised on the Kerela River. We also created relationships - relationships with the diversity of India by Visiting with the Buddhist and Hindu Temples and the Islamic Taj Mahal, deepened our relationship with the emerging economy of India as we bartered in urban and road-side markets for high-tech and hand-made goods.  We widened our relationship with nature as we marveled at the Arvalli Mountains and Lake Pichola

Nicaragua - Territorially the largest in Central America, Nicaragua quickly became on of the region's most popular destinations.  Visits to the oldest Roman Catholic Church, to Flor de Cana, a large sugar plantation and to the famous volcano Momotombo left us wanting more......
