Upcoming Events

The Instructional Resources Center (IRC) will be offering workshops throughout the year on a variety of technologies. All faculty, staff and graduate students are welcome to attend. We hope you will take advantage of some or all that might be helpful in your teaching, research or work. Please let us know if you have a topic you would like included in the series. Upcoming 2014 SUMMER workshops:

  • Google Drive 

    • This workshop will review Google Drive for web, mobile devices, and PC/Mac. In this interactive session, participants will learn how to incorporate Google documents, spreadsheets, forms, and presentations int their work and how to use these tools to collaborate with others.
    • This session will be offered Thursday July 24th, 2014 from 11 AM-12 PM in 221B White Hall (inner computer lab of the IRC)
  • Learn to Present with Prezi

    • Prezi is a cloud-based presentation software that allows you the freedom to tell a visual story in a new and unique way. In this workshop you will learn what is Prezi, how to use each tool in Prezi, and how to make your own Prezi.
    • This session will be offered Monday July 28th, 2014 from 11AM- 12 PM in 221B White Hall (inner computer lab of the IRC)
  • SMART Board Basics

    • SMART Board is an interactive tool that uses a touch sensitive display connected to a computer and projector, whic allows you to control applications from the display. This workshop will provide information on what is SMART Board, the parts, and the tools available within the SMART Board Application.
    • This session will be offered Wednesday August 6th, 2014 from 12:30 PM-1:30 PM in 221B White Hall (inner computer lab of the IRC)
