Community Relations within the Center for Student Involvement at Kent State University (KSU) is committed to enhancing city and university relations. Our staff works to promote respect, civility, and collaboration between students and community members.
We promote our town-gown relations by keeping a close relationship with community members such as city officials, area business owners and staff, the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce (KACC), and also implementing neighborhood canvassing efforts.
Kent State University (KSU) has joined a number of member institutions from across the country in the International Town and Gown Association (ITGA). The ITGA provides a network of resources to assist civic leaders, university officials, faculty, neighborhood residents and students to build their city and university relations.Community Relations staff experience invaluable opportunities to learn and improve professionally.
