Responsible for the Corporate and Foundation Relations fundraising program within Kent State University. Richard provides leadership for fund development planning, goal setting, evaluation, and program development in collaboration with the Provost, Deans, and academic community. He is responsible for expanding the visibility, influence, and effectiveness of Kent State University within the corporate and foundation communities both locally and nationally. The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations prepares and manages foundation and corporate proposals and/or other solicitations including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.Richard serves on the Advisory Committee for the Office of Global Education.
Richard Day holds Masters of Arts degrees from the University of Chicago and the University of Pittsburgh, a Graduate Certificate in East European Studies from the Russian and East European Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh and a baccalaureate degree from Alliance College.Currently, Richard is completing a M.Ed. in Teaching English as a Second Language.Richard has completed additional studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and at the St. Petersburg State University, Russia. Richard has worked extensively in the nonprofit sector in the areas of elementary, secondary and higher education, economics and entrepreneurship, as well as faith-based organizations.
