As the Director of Corporate Relations, Kolt leads the centralized corporate outreach activities at Kent State University. He works across Kent State's colleges and administrative divisions to streamline corporate activities and further industry-university relations. He serves as the central point of contact for industry to readily connect corporate partners to the multitude of services and departments Kent State offers.
Prior to assuming his current role, Kolt was the Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer representing the College of Arts & Sciences, Liquid Crystal Institute, College of Nursing and College of Public Health. In that role, he worked with administrators and faculty in those programs to garner private support for initiatives.
Kolt holds an M.B.A. with a focus in project management and a B.S.B.A. in advertising and public relations. Before joining the Corporate and Foundation Relations Team, Kolt spent nearly six years with the City of Youngstown Department of Public Works. With the City of Youngstown, he developed grant proposals and funding requests for a multitude of governmental agencies, successfully securing more than $40 million in outside funding. Additionally, he assisted in the project management and administration of over $12 million in annual capital improvement projects. Kolt is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Network of Academic Corporate Relations Officers
