Baseball Tomorrow Fund

Funding: $40,000
Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Player Assn. offer grants through their Baseball Tomorrow Fund to nonprofits to implement and maintain youth baseball and softball programs. The grants should also support successful programs and provide opportunities for girls and women.

National Alliance for Accessible Golf Accepting Grant Applications for Programs Serving Individuals With Disabilities

Deadline: Rolling
Funding: $20,000
Through a grant from the United States Golf Association, the National Alliance for Accessible Golf is expanding its efforts to help make the game of golf more accessible to people with disabilities. With funding from the USGA, the alliance will administer the grant application process for organizations providing golf programs for individuals with disabilities.

Grants support organizations that provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to learn and enjoy the game of golf and its inherent values. The alliance and the USGA share the belief that the game of golf is exceptionally well-suited to allow individuals with various types of disabilities to participate in a recreational or competitive activity with others, including those who do not have disabilities.

The alliance is particularly interested in applications that demonstrate a focus on inclusion of people with disabilities in programs that involve those without disabilities, with the ultimate goal of enhancing their inclusion into the fabric of their community.

All grant recipients must be nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, or government entities such as public schools or municipalities.

United States Golf Association

Since 1997, the USGA has provided in excess of $60 million in grants to more than 900 non-profit organizations that serve youth through golf. These grants support organizations that introduce the game of golf to people who otherwise would not have the opportunity -- specifically kids from economically disadvantaged backgrounds (Junior Golf Program Grants).
