2012 Entrepreneurship Immersion Week
---Quote from 2011 participantHosted by the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium, Entrepreneurship Immersion Week is an entrepreneurial “boot camp” of sorts, featuring academic sessions and networking opportunities and culminating in a business idea competition between student teams representing 9 different Northeast Ohio colleges and universities.
Judged by an outside panel of entrepreneurs and investors, the student teams who develop and present the best business concepts will win award packages consisting of cash and in-kind gifts valued at up to $2,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place and $500 for third place.
The Kent State University team competed against eight other Northeast Ohio colleges and universities and took first place at the Sixth Annual Entrepreneurship Immersion Week held at Case Western Reserve University August 5th through 10th. Denise Easterling was the lead faculty/advisor for the team that consisted of five of Kent Sate's top entrepreneurship students: Chad Radke, Elizabeth Ohlin, Rachel O’Neill, Melissa Scaglione and Brandon Ritchey. Case Western took second place and John Carroll took third place at the event.
