White Gloves and Red Paint: Handling and Labeling Museum Collections
This workshop is a good way for future museum professionals to gain a firm understanding of museum standards for handling and physically numbering objects. This workshop will identify different numbering techniques for assorted collection media and offer hands-on experiencein applying the techniques. In addition, it will teach students museum standards in handling different collection medio and offer hands-on experience in applying these with replica objects or non-accessioned objects. The goals will be met by observing and practicing hand-on techniques with museum professionals (guest lecturers and instructors).
