The Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management gives students credentials important to getting their first job as an entry-level manager or manager-trainee.  Every organization of any size and type depends on and needs managers, including, as examples, the small corner store, department stores, accounting firms, healthcare centers, a manufacturing firm such as Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, or a business-to-business type of organization such as Proctor & Gamble.

Combined Baccalaureate/Master's Program in the College of Business Administration and Graduate School of Management: Students must have earned 90 semester hours to apply for the Combined Baccalaureate/Master's Program in the College of Business Administration. In addition, they must meet the GPA requirement of 3.30 after 90 semester hours.

Management analysts held about 758,700 jobs in 2014. About 20 percent of these workers were self-employed. Self-employed analysts can decide how much, when and where to work. The industries that employed the most management analysts were as follows: Management, scientific and technical consulting services (22%); finance and insurance (10%); Federal government (8%); State and local government (7%) and management of companies and enterprises (5%). Management analysts usually divide their time between their offices and the client's site. Because they must spend a significant amount of time with clients, analysts travel frequently. 

Administrative services managers held about 287,300 jobs in 2014. They are found in all industries, but several industries have a greater share of these managers than others. Administration services managers are found in the education services industry, the healthcare industry, State and local government and in finance and insurance. Administrative service managers spend much of their day in an office. They sometimes make site visits around the building, go outdoors to supervise groundskeeping activities or inspect other facilities under their management.

General Admission for Freshman Students: Admission Requirements at the Kent Campus: The freshman admission policy at the Kent Campus is selective. Admission decisions are based upon the following: overall grade point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends.

Transfer Student: A overall GPA of at least 2.5 is required for admission into the College of Business Administration (2.25 for economics and entrepreneurship). Students who have previously attended Kent State and have completed (or the equivalent of) COMM 15000, ENG 21011, MATH 11010 and MIS 24163 must have earned a minimum C (2.00) grade.

Progression in this major: minimum 2.500 overall GPA, minimum C (2.000) grade in COMM 15000, ENG 21011, MATH 11010 and MIS 24163.

Minimum 120 total credit hours  and  39 upper-division hours for graduation. Minimum 2.500 GPA overall and 2.500 GPA in major required for graduation. Minimum C (2.000) grade in COMM 15000, ENG 21011, MATH 11010 (or placement out of MATH 11010) and MIS 24163.

Graduates of this program will be able to:
