The Chemistry minor provides a solid background in chemistry and biochemistry, which can be individually tailored to complement major studies in other sciences, education and business.

  1. Students who take CHEM 30481 and 30482 cannot take CHEM 20482.
  2. Well-prepared students may substitute CHEM 40245 for CHEM 30284.
  3. Students who take CHEM 40555 or 40556 may not take CHEM 40567.
  4. Students may take CHEM 40568 only if they have taken CHEM 40555, 40556 or 40567 as a pre/corequisite.
  5. This course is for physics majors taking the chemistry concentration.

Graduation Requirements:

  • Minimum cumulative 2.000 GPA and a 2.000 GPA in chemistry.
  • Students must complete at least two upper-division courses in the minor at Kent State on a graded basis (A-F).
