The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: Nurse Practitioner Adult Gerontology Primary Care certificate focuses on clinical decision-making for clients with common acute and chronic problems of adulthood. A clinical component provides for development of skills in advanced health assessment, the diagnostic process, treatment and ongoing management of clients. After completing 525 clinical hours and the complete plan of study, graduates are eligible to apply for the national certification examination.
