Economics is the study of how people make decisions in response to incentives. The Economics minor examines a range of topics, including individual decisions regarding risk, firm strategies regarding their competitors and the role of the government in the financial system and broader economy. Students study specific areas of public policy concern such as health care, environmental problems, economic development and international trade. Problem-solving and analytical skills are emphasized throughout the program.
