Description

The Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology allows for in-depth study of current and/or historical cultural research. Emphasis on a particular non-western historical period, style or continent leads to both breadth and depth of research skills.
 

Admission Requirements

Official transcript(s); three letters of recommendation; interview; and academic paper written in English.
 

Graduation Requirements

Minimum 32 total credit hours.
 

Thesis/ Dissertation

The Master of Arts program requires a thesis.

All students writing a thesis must pass a final oral examination covering the thesis and the student’s major area of study.The final oral examination may be attempted two times.
