I am a Ph.D. candidate with interests surrounding climate variability and change, especially in the polar regions. My dissertation research is primarily concerned with the atmospheric and oceanic causes of regional Arctic sea ice decline and the consequences of these losses as they relate to Arctic and subarctic weather and climate. I use both statistical and synoptic climatological approaches to evaluate these ice-climate relationships over time. During Fall 2014, I am teaching Physical Geography.
