Yarn – Generalizing Hadoop
October 16th @ 3:45 p.m. 228 MSB
Hadoop's next generation architecture has been in development for over 2 years now and it's a significant departure from Hadoop as a MapReduce-only distributed system. This talk will cover the re-architecture and how this opens up Hadoop from a one-trick system to a more general purpose distributed computing system. I'll touch on industry experience and, in particular, enterprise adoption of Hadoop in general.
