Welcome to the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology (CAEST) Internship/Co-op page! Our goal is to help you, the students of CAEST, find internship and/or co-op positions that will further enhance your educational experience at Kent State University. We intend to post positions that are relevant for you and to update the page frequently when new positions become available and opportunities are filled. So please check this page often!!! Most of the positions posted are the result of relationships developed between the company offering the position and CAEST (unless otherwise clearly specified). We may choose to post positions that we are not affiliated with- just for your information. You are welcome to apply for those positions directly. However, in order to apply for positions listed on this page that are the result of relationships formed between the organization proving the position and CAEST, you must fill out the student information form (found below next to the push pins) and provide a cover letter, resume, one faculty letter of recommendation and an unofficial transcript to JRuller@kent.edu .
If it is determined that you meet the minimum requirements for the position, your resume, cover letter and letter of recommendation will be forwarded on to the organization on your behalf by our office at CAEST. The organizations that CAEST has relationships with are aware that we are compiling your information to determine that you meet the required qualifications and look favorably on candidates that we provide to them. In all cases, please remember that not only are you representing yourself, but you are also representing Kent State University. We ask that you always put your most professional, polished foot forward. The Kent State Career Services Center can help you do that by providing valuable resources. They are located at 261 Schwartz Center or can be reached at 330-672-2360 or http://www.kent.edu/career/index.cfm. There are career counselors available to review resumes, cover letters and help you to improve your interview skills. You may drop in anytime for a 10 minutes session with a counselor or make an appointment for an hour session. They offer many other services, including a university wide listing of internships at http://www.kent.edu/career/jobs/index.cfm. Please take a look at the positions listed below and if you are interested in an opportunity, prepare the required documents and send them to JRuller@kent.edu.We look forward to working with you!!! Have a GREAT summer!
