** In order to maintain scholarship eligibility students must be registered as a full-time Kent campus student (must be registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours of Kent campus coursework).

Robert Sines Aviation Scholarship-Awarded to U.S. Armed Forces Veteran with Honorable Discharge not eligible for 9/11 benefits pursuing degree in Aeronautics with a concentration in Flight Technology. Should the applicant pool not yield a qualified candidate a United States Armed Forces veteran with an honorable discharge would be eligible. DD 214 required to prove eligibility.
Dr. Charles Keith Endowed Scholarship-Awarded to sophomore, junior and senior student pursuing degree in Technology, Applied Engineering, or other Industrial program with priority given to students from Ohio. The award may be applied to tuition, room and board, and books and supplies.
The Leland Keller Scholar Award- the Leland Keller Scholar Award is awarded annually to two (2) incoming freshman students pursuing any major in the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology (CAEST) at the Kent campus. Students must remain enrolled in the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology for the entire award year, or forfeit the award. Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA, 25 ACT composite, or 1130 combined critical reading and math on SAT. The amount of the award is $1,500.00 for the academic year.
Choose Ohio First Scholarship Award- the Choose Ohio First Scholarship program awards Ohio residents that have aspirations to purse the Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology at Kent State University (CAEST) at the Kent campus. The award is available for incoming freshman and returning aeronautics students. Eligible candidates must be enrolled on a full-time basis and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater. Demonstrated student involvement and employment history will be taken into consideration. Applicants for the Choose Ohio First Scholarship must be permanent United States residents and hail from the state of Ohio. Scholarship awards are contingent upon funding from the state of Ohio. One (1) award will be granted per concentration. Eligible concentrations include: flight technology, aeronautical studies, aviation management, air traffic control, and aeronautical systems engineering technology. First awards were granted fall 2012. Applications for this scholarship can be accessed via the Ohio Higher Ed website.
George Schneider Jr. Industrial Technology Scholarship Award- the George Schneider Jr. Industrial Technology Scholarship Award is funded through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) for a student enrolled full or part-time, and pursuing a bachelor degree in manufacturing engineering, technology or closely related field. One (1) scholarship will be awarded for a student enrolled in the CAEST at the Kent campus. To be eligible for consideration student must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or greater. Submissions are accepted mid-October via the SME website.
Paul J. Conley Scholarship- the Paul J. Conley Scholarship is awarded to outstanding students in the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology. Eligible students include incoming freshman, returning freshman, sophomore, juniors and seniors.
Richard "Dick" Schwabe Scholarship Fund-The Schwabe Endowed Scholarship Fund was established for the encouragement of students enrolled in the Division of Aeronautics, and more specifically the flight technology concentration who have demonstrated the capacity and motivation to achieve educational and professional goals, and the initiative to seek opportunities to further their progress. Scholarship recipients must meet the following criteria: earned private pilot rating or higher, junior academic standing, cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater, demonstrated financial need verifiable by a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), completed one page essay entitled, "The Love of Flying" to be attached to the general CAEST scholarship application.
The Allen L. and Terri L. Maurer Scholarship Fund for Flight Training- the Allen L. and Terri L. Maurer Fund for Flight Training will be awarded to a full-time aeronautics student to supplement tuition, books, or other necessary materials. To be eligible for consideration applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average, demonstrated financial need, and a letter of recommendation from the Academic Program Director, Aeronautics Division, College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology.
Clinton Van Deusen Scholarship- the Clinton Van Deusen scholarship is available to students pursuing majors in the Applied Science and Technology Division in the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology (CAEST).
The Nikki Kukwa Memorial Scholarship for Women in Aeronautics- was established to assist female students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics with funds to supplement tuition, books, or other necessary materials associated with costs related to their program of study. Recipients shall be selected on the basis of the following criteria: minimum junior standing in the Aeronautics major in the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability, and Technology, demonstrated financial need verifiable by FAFSA, a letter of recommendation from the Academic Program Director, Aeronautics Division, CAEST, and participation in Women in Aviation, and/or student organizations related to the major. A separate application is required for this scholarship.The W.A. Simpson Memorial Award-The W.A. Simpson Memorial Award was established to encourage and reward student participation and competition in special projects and/or research outside of the standard curriculum requirements of technology education.
