Masters in Business Administration:
Beyond The Classroom
The Kent State University Department of Accounting sponsors an active internship program for students wishing to obtain experience in public accounting, corporate, and governmental/non-profit settings. Each fall semester 20-25 organizations conduct on-campus interviews for internships in the following spring and summer semesters. All MSA students are encouraged to experience an accounting internship.
MSA students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in major courses are eligible to receive academic credit for their internships (3 credit hours). Students must have completed the equivalent of ACCT 33010 (Cost Accounting) & ACCT 33012 (Corporate Accounting II) to register for the Accounting Internship course.
The internship coordinator is Dr. John Rose. Applications for the internship will be available at the start of the Fall semester. Internships are paid and provide the student with an excellent opportunity to work as a professional. Students who receive internships are required to register for ACCT 63092 during the internship semester or in the semester immediately following the internship. For more information, please contact Dr. Rose (firstname.lastname@example.org) or visit the college internship website at: http://www.kent.edu/business/businessexperiences/index.cfm.
