Kent Keyboard Series Presents Guest Artist Hyunsoon WhangPosted Feb. 23, 2012
The Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State University will continue the 2011-2012 Kent Keyboard Series with a guest artist performance by Hyunsoon Whang on Sunday, March 4 at 5 p.m.
Born in Korea, Hyunsoon Whang has delighted audiences in more than 500 concerts across the United States, Europe, Canada, the Cayman Islands, Japan and Korea. Having studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts, St. Louis Conservatory of Music, The Juilliard School and Indiana University, she is now on the faculty at Cameron University in Lawton, Okla.
Ms. Whang is scheduled to play a colorful performance of works by Clara Schumann, Ravel, Chopin and Brahms. She will be joined onstage by guest clarinetist Daniel Gilbert and Kent State cello faculty and artist-in-residence, Keith Robinson.

Ludwig Recital Hall is located in the Music and Speech Center at 1325 Theatre Drive on the campus of Kent State University in Kent. Free parking.
The series is co-directed by Donna Lee and Jerry Wong, Kent State artists in residence.
