SFC Andrew Spath
SFC Andrew Spath joined the Army in 1994. He is a 19D Cavalry Scout and has held a varity of NCO positions within his MOS field. He has attended every level of NCOES to his current grade. He has served in the Armor light/Airborne community most of his career. He has been stationed at Fort Riley Kansas, Fort Carson Colorado, Fort Polk Louisiana (Airborne OPFOR), Camp Hovey Korea, Fort Knox Kentucky, and Fort Richardson Alaska. SFC Spath has been deployed in support of Bosnia SFOR7, OEF and OIF and has been deployed for over 26 months in support of the Global War on Terrorism. His latest job was the Brigade Air NCOIC for 4th BCT (ABN), 25th IN DIV, in which he insured all 3,500 Paratroopers and 125 Jumpmasters followed all regulations and protocol.
Military Education he has completed includes; Jumpmaster, Pathfinder, Air Assault school, Airborne School, Senior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Warrior Leaders Course, Advance Combat Lifesavers Course, Army Combative Course, USACC ITC.
Civilian Education, he has his ASG from Central Texas Collage 2005. He Graduated from Huntington North High School in 1993.
His awards include Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Accommodation medals (4)and (1 w/Valor device), Army Achievement Medals (5), Good Conduct Medal (6), National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star device, Korea Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/bronze star device, Iraqi Campaign Medal w/bronze star device, Oversea Ribbon (5), NCOPD Ribbon (3), NATO Medal(2), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Combat Action Badge, Senior Rated Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault and Driver’s Badge. He also has earned Canadian and South Korean Foreign Jump Wings. He is a member of the Honorable Order of Saint George.
Married to Julie LaRue Spath sixteen years (August 5, 1995), has three children, Zachary, Jacob and Joshua (Twins).
