Request for Proposals For the Kent State University Foundation Annual Grant Program
Kent State University has set an aggressive agenda for academic excellence across all areas of the university. The KSU Foundation Board supports fully this agenda and is committed to providing annual funds in support of the university's academic excellence agenda. With this goal in mind, the KSU Foundation is pleased to offer a university-wide grant program to all departments, schools, colleges, institutes and centers. The Board has approved a budget of $100,000 in grant funds to be awarded during the 2014–2015 academic year. It is possible the Foundation Board of Directors will request that programs receiving a grant match a portion of the funds awarded.
There are no restrictions on these awards, and requests may be up to $100,000. A grant committee of the Foundation Board will review all applications and make recommendations to the full Board for consideration. Grants will be made to projects that have an impact on the quality of education offered to the students of Kent State University. Previous grants included support for the purchase of an IRT camera, funds to update technology and renovate a flexible classroom, funds to purchase equipment for various departments, support for the STATE student research project, and a nursing simulation lab upgrade.
The application deadline is January 15, 2014.

- *Note: by submitting an application, you are confirming that it has been reviewed and approved by yourself, as well as the academic dean responsible for the program.
All submitted applications will be reviewed by the Grant Committee of the Foundation Board. Each grant recipient will be required to submit a report on the use of the funds to the KSU Foundation Board.
NOTE: This grant is only effective for one year and may or may not be renewable contingent on funds available for the next fiscal year.
