Ohio Literacy Resource Center (OLRC)

The Ohio Literacy Resource Center (OLRC) supports adult literacy programs and services throughout Ohio. Working closely with the Ohio Department of Education, National Institute for Literacy, state agencies, professional organizations, and a variety of adult literacy providers, the center helps practitioners keep abreast of the latest developments in adult education, including technology. The OLRC is also home to a) the GED Scholars Initiative, a program that provides academic and financial support to students who earned their GED and attend Kent State University and b) the Ohio Literacy Alliance, a partnership with the Ohio State University dedicated to advancing lifespan literacy perspectives.

Services Provided:
GED Scholars Initiative, staff development activities, Eureka! on-line lesson plan database, publications, technology expertise, and a web site to support literacy programs.
