 Research Interests: My research focuses on the topics of subjective well-being, goal pursuit, and romantic relationships. I am particularly interested in how romantic partners pursue their goals (both joint and individual) in the context of their romantic relationships, and how strategies of goal pursuit influence the romantic relationship itself and the well-being of the partners. My current studies focus on a) the influence of dyadic goal conflict on self-regulation, b) a romantic partner’s influence on the pursuit of health goals (e.g., exercise goals), and c) the effects of planning together with a partner on relationship quality and divorce. Additionally, I am also interested in quantitative measurement and methodology, especially SEM (structural equation modeling).
